Opace is an anhydrous aluminium silicate  - calcined kaolin produce by calcinations of hydrous levigated kaolin at high temp of about 700 °C in a kiln. Opace is calcined product obtained from excellently beneficiated levigated kaolin which improves dielectric prOpaceOpaceoperties of PVC cable insulation, improves mechanical and chemical resistance in rubber products, in paints it is a very excellent opacifying  extender partially replacing titanium dioxide. Opace overall reduces cost in paint formulation by replacing TiO₂ to a greater extend.
